RMS Moldavia

Diving in the English Channel in April can be a hit or miss affair, with the odds often in favour of a dark, low viz dive. Last week however, we struck lucky on the incredible wreck of the Moldavia. This 9500 ton ocean liner was sunk in World War 1 and now lies in 50 metres of water. After enjoying 10 metres horizontal viz we could see our delayed buoys break the surface from 30 metres during our ascent. What a dive.....

My Grandfather was seaman rfr on this ship when it was torpedoed at the end of world war 1. I love seeing these photos. I hope to dive the wreck someday before i get too old.
